KLAMATH RIVER INTER-TRIBAL
FISH AND WATER COMMISSION
About Us
The Klamath River Inter-Tribal Fish and Water Commission (KRITFWC) is a federal non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. KRITFWC was established in 1995 and consists of designated Representatives of the Hoopa Valley, Karuk, Klamath and Yurok Tribes of the Klamath-Trinity River Basin.
We recognize that the natural resources of the Basin are of fundamental importance to the physical and spiritual well-being of ourselves and future generations.
A healthy Klamath-Trinity Basin ecosystem is vital for preserving the basic natural resources essential for our continued survival and is of mutual benefit to all our Tribes. Accordingly, the tribes seek to defend our right to a healthy ecosystem in which the resources on which we depend can thrive.
Further, the Tribes recognize that by working together, we can achieve more collectively than we can do individually.
